Can Mumbai Indians defend their trophy

The defending champions,yet again all set to conquer the 11th edition of Indian Premier League as team is all set as the core team was retained and the right balance is maintained by roping the right players to Mumbai Indians Squad.

The select committee executed a well planned strategy, which they showcased right from the beginning of 2018 Indian Premier League Auction. Mumbai Indians had 47 Crores in their purse and in which they spent only 46.35 Crores and there by they managed save 65 lakhs on their purse, which might be useful for them to utilize to buy some other player in Future.

Mumbai Indians managed to retain their core players, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah and they made a very expensive bid of 8.8 crores through Right to Match to add Kurnal Pandya to their side.

The Mumbai Indians have managed to retain the Pandya brothers and let’s hope this Pandya combo will yet again contribute to the success story of Mumbai Indians.

After completion of the retention and bid of the Krunal Pandya. The selection committee started to focus on to recruit the players on the basis of their plan.

Mumbai Indians managed to balance team with experience and skills. As well all know the team will be lead by Rohit Sharma. He has plenty of options on bowling and batting departments.

Now let’s analyse the team, to start with the batting line up of Mumbai Indians will lead upfront by the skipper Rohit Sharma, who has plenty of experience and the temperament to handle the pressure and he will be supported by the new recruits, both by the Indian and Overseas players.

Then comes the bowling circuit, the fast bowling unit will be lead upfront by Jasprit Bumrah and will be supported by his fellow bowlers. Mumbai Indians had obtained some premier bowlers like Mustafizur Rahim and Pat Cummins.

So the Mumbai Indians seems to be a concrete team on papers, and believe that Mumbai Indians will deliver it on field as well. So let’s wait and watch Mumbai Indians fire on the first Match with Chennai Super Kings on 7th April 2018.
