In the last two weeks of heavy rain that shackled Kerala completely, due to lack of proper rain water management system across the state, and due to the increasing deforestation to accommodate the tourists and their by generating the revenue for the state, from which the state gets the highest revenue.
The flood completely exploited Kerala, so as a resultant of this disaster, many people have lost their home and they are made to stay on the recovery camps that the government have set up across 14 districts.
To help these stranded people’s the Kerala government started asking for funds to help these need people and centre has already disbursed 600 Crores in addition to this 562.46, which already has been approved and which will be released through state disaster relief fund(SDRF).
On the other the funds started flowing from various celebrities across the nation who started contributing for this noble and needy cause. To start with the bolly wood start Shah Rukh Khan donated 21 lakhs through his Meer foundation, Salman Khan donated 12 crores, Mohanlal – 25 lakhs, Mamoothy & Dulquer – 25 lakhs, Jacqueline donated 5lakhs a NGO Habitat for humanity, Below are list of celebrities who have donated to help Kerala’s flood affected victims :
